Southampton Spitfires were founded as an inline hockey club and has a strong history of success, including winning the British Universities national championship 4 times. As well as the success within the universities competitions Southampton Spitfires have also competed in the BRHA (British Rink Hockey Association) and currently compete in BIPHA-South (British Inline Puck Hockey Association). The inline team also competes as part of the Varsity tournament against the University of Portsmouth, during which we have never been beaten. Inline training is in the old sports hall on Highfield campus at the university and we have training sessions for people of all abilities, including a social training session for beginners and improvers. We are always happy to play friendly matches against other teams and universities and have teams of different abilities.
